My iPod 5th generation won't turn on no matter how many times I tried to do so.
It worked perfectly fine yesterday and when I woke up, all I got is a black screen.
Is there any way to turn it back on? 😟

Have you tried to force a restart? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. If you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot.
You could also hook it up to your computer and see if it recognizes it. That's one way to diagnose if the insides are working ok and there's just something with the screen.

my daughters ipod won't turn on, I've connected it to the laptop and it doesn't recognize it, I've held down the home button and the powers button together and nothing happens, any other suggestions?
Try charging first. My was doing the same thing but leaving it plugged in the PC's USB port for about an hour, the "restart" finally was about to reboot it. I was able to recover it using iTunes from there. Good luck.
